Vedic Meditation Group Meetings: What Are They?
In August, MindMojo’s meditation teacher Anthony Thompson was delighted and humbled to stand in for his teacher Michael Miller at a Vedic Meditation Group Meeting.
These regular meet-ups happen all over the world as a means of connecting with other meditators who have varied knowledge and experience. These meetings are a wonderful opportunity to ask questions, find support, explore ways to deepen our practice, and connect with other like-minded individuals.
Here’s what Anthony had to say about the experience:
"Having attended and assisted at many of these meetings over the years it was an honour to be ‘up front’ to lead the Group Meditation and field questions from over 65 meditators with a wide range of meditating experience.
"Group Meetings are held regularly by all Vedic Meditation teachers and anyone who has been initiated is welcome to attend – whether or not the teacher was their original instructor.
“One of the many benefits of being a Vedic Meditator is that one is eligible to attend Group Meetings like this anywhere in the world. This ‘open ticket’ means that you are never far from plugging in to a teacher who is there to continue with the lifelong support promised to all new meditators by their original teacher.
"All teachers are happy to look after another colleague’s students when the need arises."
